Tendencies & Game Impact

In 2019, Kevin Durant came down hard on NBA referee Leon Wood on Instagram after a one point Golden State Warriors overtime loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The call came after the Warriors tied the game with a Steph Curry three pointer in overtime. With 0.5 seconds left on the clock, Durant was called for a foul on Karl-Anthony Towns as the Timberwolves tried to inbound the ball. Towns went to the line, made the first free and the Warriors lost. The Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant said, “”I want to keep my money cause they gave me two bullsh*t techs… let me just stop talking about the officiating…We deserved to play at least five more minutes of basketball,”” Durant told the media after the game in Minnesota.”
